Prevention of panic attacks - finding a permanent solution

If you are unlucky to suffer panic attacks, knows the impact that can have in your life. There are a lot of methods dealt with on the internet for the prevention of panic attacks, and many are linked to the breathing techniques, or some kind of natural medicine. Like most people, you will probably find that you want rather than treating the symptoms, providing a permanent solution.

To find a permanent cure, we have to look at the underlying relationship between the physiological and physical. We have to work in treating the source of panic attacks and not just treat the symptoms.

I was surprised with the intensity that can reach the symptoms. I have come across case studies in which patients actually felt that they were suffering a heart attack. In other cases, are experiencing problems with breathing, to the point where they were convinced of them collapses. Let's take a quick look at how the body responds by physically with such intensity.

An underlying fear or phobia is usually the cause of the activation of real anxiety. But after experiencing the symptoms of intense, the sensation of being unable to breathe or even a heart attack, a fear of the symptoms of panic attack occurs. As you can see, this becomes a vicious circle, where the anticipation of a panic attack can only really trigger the symptoms, rather than face the phobia or fear that previously caused the symptoms.

The physical symptoms are caused by the system of the body natural "fight or flight" is enabled. Normally, this could only happen in life real threatening situations, so that it can make the necessary actions of rescue - flee, or they struggle to survive. So your mind decide that their security is threatened, the object of fear must be present and powerful.

Let's illustrate this with the example of a poisonous snake in front of you. It is right in front of you, so it is present. It is venomous and can kill, therefore, it is also powerful. This is a situation that is normal for the control of the body or flight response to activate, for example the adrenaline and the increased heart rate. Their lives are really in danger.

But if you begin to receive the same physical response of looking at a photo of this same later, are beginning to develop a phobia - the threat is powerful, but not really present. The same is true with a non-venomous snake in font of you - it is present, but not powerful. Even so, due to past experience, can still get the physical responses associated with the reaction of fight or flight.

This is the basic example, but all the panic attacks are rooted in this principle. Clearly, the real answer to prevent panic attacks is the Elimination of the physical response incorrect, preventing the confused mind legitimate fear false objects.

Once this kind of technique is mastered, you will be able to stop panic attacks in their tracks before they start. They are indeed changing tables in the negative spiral. Once you have some success in reducing the severity of an attack next, confidence will increase significantly. So the next time, will be even more effective. This kind of techniques are becoming popular as an alternative to medication.
